Halelujah! I found an alternative to Cartoon KAT-TUN (Cartoon KAT-TUN was like my daily iced coffee dosage = I start twitching without it!). ... KANJANI8! What a bunch of cute, loveable dorks. God I love Japanese variety shows! They're the best!

It sucks not having a car. I don't know how I lived without one for so long. What the hell was I thinking? Now that I don't have a car (it died on Thursday) I realize how less independent I feel. I don't feel particularly attached to my old car, but it just really womps not having one (I said womps).

I don't know if I'm pissed off or happy, or a combination of both. They pulled it off really, really well, so it's hard to hate on them. But DAAAMN I do hate them! They rocked that shit!

I'm listening to X Japan's press conference as it is being streamed live from myspace. Pata sounds like a 17th century samurai! Not that I know what they sound like. I'm judging by old samurai films! They're playing Madison Square Garden in New York, but I didn't hear anything about Los Angeles... I've always wanted to visit New York City, and was looking for a reason to go. This is a very good reason. I'd like to stay there a week! There's far too much to see and do in New York City. If anyone can offer up their place, I will looooove you long time!

Talk about making a COMEBACK! All these older Jrock bands picked a good timing. X Japan just played live after ten years of not playing a single note together! (their farewell concert was in 1997) Luna Sea just came out with their complete best album, and another Hide album was also just released. 2008 is, I guess, the year of Jrock.

Not that anyone who is not reading or reading this cares about Jrock. I know that's like 1% of you. The rest of you are all gung-ho about cosplay AM I RITE?

Kei and I still need roommates for Fanime! We really, really do! No one wants to pay a shitload of money for temporary shelter!

I'm running my first panel! I've always considered it, so my first panel will occur at Fanime, Friday at 10 PM. C'mon if you have nothing else to do! 10 PM is like, right after music fest (the big event for Friday) and right before the room parties start, so it's that lull where you're wondering what to do with your life whats there to do!

Watch anime in one of the showing rooms? OR... PARTY WITH JPOP STARS!!!

So this panel will be on Jpop and Jrock but I'm hosting it more like a party. There will be Japanese brand drinks and snacks. I get really hungry around this time (cause I neglect to eat anything during the day) and I figure other people will be too.

I want to see about maaayyybe getting a certain special guest to be at the panel, but I'm not going to say who it is. You'll just have to be there and find out!

Yesterday was fun. I tried to make it to HoriPro but I ended up not making it in time! But at least there was a HoriPro afterparty and we got to karaoke our hearts out! ♡ ♡ ♡ Tuesday was an interesting day too. Chris went off to Portland to start his new life so we trailed SoCal with him before he left. We went to Oceanside beach, Cal State Fullerton, Little Tokyo and Santa Monica (where he spent OVER AN HOUR in Hyper Games trying to decide which games to get! XD).

Exhausting though! Friday was exhausting too because we had our gold tournament. Gold tournaments we all wear gold and the guests are slightly more demanding since they're gold members. It was chaotic but it was fun too!! Last week we had a Basketball-themed tournament and I got to emcee!

In April the theme will be...

It's easter! I already made one blunder today, and I missed service (for some reason I really wanted to go!). I'm going to eat chocolate + iced coffee to make myself feel better. Although I do have one thing to look forward to today - hanging out with The Slants!

Meantime I spent ALL DAY yesterday (...well, I did go shopping at one point and I am now the owner of the world's cutest swimsuit!) editing and cropping and resizing the photos we took last week. They are done, so I shall post them!

One of my best buds is leaving soon. I invited him over so I could expose him to Cartoon KAT-TUN before he goes off to Portland (Whyyyy Chris? Whyyyyy?). In turn, he brought over some video games (I never started to appreciate his vast video game collection until just now). We played Ore no Ryouri (a really fun game where you have to please customers in a restaurant) and Beatmania. The next day I went excersizing in the park with Pokey. The Mosaics Park really is otherwordly. It just feels like it doesn't belong on Earth. So we've decided that it is in fact, an incarnation of Venus. How nerdy of us!

Last weekend was fun too becauase I went to Jrock Gelato 1.5 and saw Ghost Towne, L2D and Rusika perform. Afterwards we went to Denny's and stayed out loitering in the parking lot (a parking lot at 2 AM outside Denny's in downtown LA - does it GET any smarter than this?). I came down with a flu the next day! But flu came and went.

Gotta keep these frequent otherwise I'll NEVER finish uploading all my photos.

Valentine's Day was fun. A bunch of us went to Mel's Drive-Thru in Hollywood. I read something about the "infamous oreo cookie shake" and just had to try it for myself. It is REALLY good. To add even more cholestoral and calories to my already unhealthy shake, I got chilli cheese fries. They were da bomb yo. After Mel's we went to the Whisky a Go Go to see Maria Staump, only we *just* missed her. Instead we saw Matt Doheny and Kyle Van Band. Not really my type of music, but they were enjoyable nevertheless. It reminded me that I need to go to as many concerts as possible, because you can learn so much from watching other people perform.

One year ago today this happened, and it was the highlight of my year. If I could relive one day forever, I'd take that day hands down.

It was exactly one month ago today that I arrived BACK from Japan. It's depressing to think that I've been back for one month and still haven't completely adjusted to it. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel nostalgic and a little sad when I watch movies like Lost in Translation (I TRIED!) or read about my friends little ventures in Roppongi without me.

Yesterday was National Pancake Day so Pokey and I ended up going to IHOP to take advantage of the free pancakes. Only I didn't *quite* get free pancakes. There's this badass deal where you can get a full breakfast (I'm talking Denny's Grand Slam size!) and you get shortcake pancakes added on for FREE. And it's only $5.99 and you get everything: eggs, hash browns, bacon, AND pancakes! If only they weren't SO full of calories, pancakes would be the greatest food on the face of the planet.

I also saw a certain former co-worker yesterday. It was AWKWARD. There's nothing to say, and yet EVERYthing to say. One of those things, so weird.

I think I have enough instant low sodium pho and ramen to last a week. I went grocery shopping at Mitsuwa yesterday with Chris + Pokey, and got my first bento box! Isn't it cute?!



I don't have a lunch box, and I needed one for work that DOESN'T have Spiderman on the cover. We went to a noodle restaurant afterwards, and I swear they delivered our food in record time. They must have a stopwatch in the kitchen. Afterwards, we kicked it with a Super Junior Full House MARATHON, only those two losers couldn't stay for the last three episodes.

I MADE THIS TODAY! It's a Jpop/Jrock singing sampler. I couldn't get the vocals off two of the songs (they're not instrumentals!). I'd like to record a FULL song eventually, and I think I have the perfect one in mind for the Halloween season (hint: The way to lollipop candy land).
